With granite walls and crenellations, towers and medieval-style ramparts the boutique hotel keeps the quirky feel and individual “medieval” style of its slightly eccentric builder, Theodore Holdengard. The ten suites have elegant names such as the Royale, Flamingo, Library and the Turret and are decorated with antiques and curiosities. The Coach House restaurant seats up to thirty people and there is a separate pub with its cheerful ambience.

There are several communal areas for guests including the main lounge with its imposing fireplace, ladies lounge and billiards room, the library and the trophy room which serves as the entrance.
