Mwinilunga Lodges and Safaris
Mwinilunga Lodges and Safaris offer a choice of venues and activities: (1) Two chalets under thatch with shower and toilet for eight guests at Mongwe, or a fully-equipped tented camp for ten which can be fully inclusive, part catering or self catering. (2) A three night canoe trip from Mongwe down to Mana Pools with a guide cooking and camping at pre-arranged spots on the river bank. (3) Six twin safari tents at Mana Pools and communal hot showers and toilets and tented dining area. Packages are fully-inclusive, part, or self catering. Dave, Tess and Andrew personally run the camps and they are well-known for their good food and comfortable family atmosphere.
Activities are arranged to suit visitors, but can include photographic safaris, hiking and guided walks, canoeing from Mongwe with two or three night stops on the Zambezi River before reaching Mana Pools for a further two or three nights. Visitors are guaranteed sightings of elephant, hippo and crocodile along with many varieties of antelope. Bream and tiger fishing are very popular from the bank. or canoe, or boat. Mana Pools is a bird watcher's paradise and known for its diversity of wildlife including elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, kudu and endangered painted dogs.
